Ubuntu in VPS Hosting
With any of our Linux VPS hosting, you'll be able to pick the Ubuntu Operating System on the order page. We're aware of the fact that some programs have certain requirements with regard to the Operating System they are set up on, and you are able to select from the 32-bit and the 64-bit release of Ubuntu. In addition, you can choose whether the VPS should come with the Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you will receive everything you'll need pre-installed - MySQL, electronic mail server, FTP, etc. software, and you're able to do everything by using your Internet browser, but the root access is limited; whereas in the second case, you will get Ubuntu and the Apache server software only, which means that you'll be able to set up anything freely thanks to the full root access which you'll be given, however the server management tasks are performed through a console. Our administrators can watch your VPS and update the Ubuntu installation weekly if you add the optional Managed Services package that we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Web Hosting
Ubuntu is one of the Operating System options which you will find on our order page in case you want to obtain one of our Linux dedicated web hosting. We will install the 32-bit or the 64-bit version, to meet the system requirements of the apps which you intend to set up on the server. You can also select the software that will operate on your machine, because we will install only the Apache web server software, so everything else can be custom software that you choose. You will be able to set up the latter without any problems by using a Secure Shell console, as you will have root-level access and you will have full control of the hosting server. You can install a web hosting Control Panel too and control some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can function on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier for you, we also supply a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, features Operating System upgrades.
